Heather & Avery and the Bicycle Shop

Heather & Avery and the Bicycle Shop is about two young cousins who are riding their bikes when Avery crashes his bike into a tree. While retrieving the tire that has fallen off, they grab for the tire at the same time. This propels them outside the Wright Brothers Bicycle Shop in Dayton, Ohio where they meet the Wright Brothers and learn about bikes, wheels, and flying things. When Avery suggests they can buy an airplane ticket if they want to fly, the kids are back on the sidewalk with Avery’s repaired tire. There is a Wright Brothers’ time line at the end of the book.
