The first part of the book originated as notes taken on minutes from my life, the life of a Turkish-American single mother. I wrote it to satisfy an inherent need to pass on everything I learned during my lifetime to the least favorite daughters and sons of a family, which, in my experience, are usually toward the end of the birth order. The second part contains advice on living, and the third part is, I believe, a humorous section on gender issues.
