Romans: The Conflict within Man

You have heard people say, “We just go by the Bible,” but recognize that it is an interpreted Bible that people claim for a guide. How you interpret the Bible depends on the spirit in your heart. In order to be shown the ever-living truth of God’s eternal word, the Holy Spirit of God must be in your heart.

Followers of Christ read Scripture on their knees, through the lens of His sacrificial love. We are not here to pick Scripture apart but to let Scripture pick us apart.

Servants of God’s word avoid proof-texting or cherry picking. Scripture is a unity and a harmony. Verses concord with one another like notes in a musical chord, giving rise to a truly sound doctrine that echoes the symphony of faith. It is Jesus who tunes our will with God’s salvation of us.
