A Ticket To Cusco: The Land of the Inca

Was the Inca civilisation completely wiped off the face of the earth after the Spanish Conquistadors executed the last Inca Emperor Atahualpa in 1532 and brought diseases from Europe which decimated the population? Or did some Quechua speaking people survive and continue to instil the Inca traditions within future generations? Although ‘A Ticket to Cusco’ is a fictional murder mystery set in to Peru, it raises some interesting questions. Could there now be individuals working in secret, following the ideology of the Inca in order to help Peruvians solve some of their problems? What is happening behind the scenes? There is obviously more taking place than is apparent to a group of tourists travelling around Peru and Ecuador. Do they meet someone who is a direct descendant of the Inca during their 17-day holiday?
