On a hot summer day in 1958, Sharon Buffkin was born on a tobacco farm in Southeast North Carolina. With pen in hand she discovered writing poetry was her “hide away” that only her heart could know. Sharon is married with two grown boys of her own, and through the years of raising her children, she has come to the understanding the only way to see and understand life is to focus on the simple things that stumble our way.
