If You Want an Enemy, Try to Help Someone

Help can come in the form of a whisper of advice, an opportunity, or simply providing a glass of water. “Nobody helps anyone these days unless there’s something in it for them.” But could the helper simply be following the golden rule by doing unto others as they would have them do unto him or her? The recipient of help will sometimes blame the helper if things turn bad or, possibly even worse, make them an enemy. Understand that there are some people you simply cannot help; therefore, make sure you know how and when to help those that you can.
