It's Velocity Stupid!: is the velocity of money the forgotten variable of macroeconomics

Why has the recovery from the Great Recession been dragging on?  Part of the answer, I believe, lies in the pages of this book.  Shockingly and alarmingly, the velocity of the M1 money supply in the U.S. fell by more than 40 per cent after the fourth quarter of 2007!  However, hardly anyone seems to be paying much attention.  This book studies this decline in velocity and other fluctuations in velocity, as well as emphasizing fiscal policies to complete the recovery and create desperately needed jobs and income for those who have been suffering needlessly for far too long.
