Grace struggled with bipolar disorder and Asperger’s Syndrome and was tormented by bullies. She tried to commit suicide on the campus of Swan High. Luckily, our daughter failed in her attempt. A merciless school district viewed her as a disturbed student. The school’s administration became the bullies. They attempted to block her picture from the yearbook. Injustices grew. Our attorney recused himself as discrimination was outside his area of law. Jim had to learn to represent Grace pro se. Grace’s quest to meet her birth family intensified.
