The Girl with the Zoo in Her Hair

This story is about a girl that struggles with brushing her crazy hair. However, she approaches the task ahead in a fun, positive manner by pretending that each tangle and knot is an animal stuck in her hair. While she creates a pseudo character that handles each animal and gets them back into their cages, she works through all her tangles and knots until her hair is smooth and she is able to braid her hair. The story is meant to encourage children to take charge of their own grooming, as well as handle challenging tasks in bite-size pieces and with a positive attitude.
