Children and Their Imagination Jacob and the Monster explores the active imagination of a 6 year old little boy. He takes his active imagination and integrate it with the world of television and finds himself terrified. he later finds out his terror was not real but was made up by his own imagination. His curiosity allows him to still want to know what happened at the end of the television show. The story shows it is difficult to discourage children’s natural imagination and curiosity even after being frighten. Down through the centuries, children have had active imaginations that fed their desires to travel into different adventures. The world of make believe is filled with endless possibilities and a child’s imagination is infinite.
