Beginning At The End

It is fitting that I begin my memoirs on Memorial Day, the day my life changed forever. I am now a widow. I felt sad and yet liberated, at peace, and yet anxious about the future. I knew I had to give up my beautiful home in Naples, Florida and move back to Minnesota, but was leaving memories of my married life behind.
