Dear Little Black Boy

Dear Little Black Boy is the culmination of years of writing and rewriting just to find the "right" first work to publish. A collection of fresh and gently worn pieces that blend creative nonfiction and poetry narrate a full story, from start to finish, of whom "little black boys" are through a "little black girl's" eyes. Opening with an anecdote of repetition and closing with one single short declarative poem, Dear Little Black Boy is meant to create a space for others to see what the little black girl sees.
