Domestic folk-lore

T. F. Thiselton-Dyer was an 19th century English author and reverend who wrote extensively on the lives and society of common British people. Domestic Folk-lore, one of a series of investigations into the superstitions of regular people, documents folk tales and superstitions of each stage of a human life, starting from birth, through adolescence, marriage, old age, and death, as well as chapters devoted to the lore of specific household items and rooms.
