Crystalline Dreams

Following in her father's footsteps, Evie Bodham spends most of her time in the lab at the University of Chicago, trying to decipher an encrypted codex inside a rare crystal. That is until her life is threatened outside a local bar on a rare night out. The last thing she expects to find is a mysterious bodyguard keeping a close eye on her. It isn't long before she learns that all she thought she knew about the world around her is nothing but an illusion.

Loud-mouthed and unorthodox by the League of Guardians' standards, resident bad boy Roc has no problem telling any of the others where they can shove their opinions. He delights in the easy life, killing demons for fun and bedding a new female every night. Then she happened. From the moment he lays eyes on Evie, the sable-haired begins to consume his every waking thought. When a moment of passion takes him beyond the job, Roc unknowingly sets events in motion that could change everything.

With the clock counting down, Evie faces her toughest decision. Should she give in to her heart's desires and fall for the man all wrong for her? Or carry on with the work left behind by her father? Will she survive either choice? Only God knows, and the big guy's not saying.
