Imagine we’re given the assignment of explaining to individuals the mystery of life. The good news is the mystery of life is simply understanding life from the viewpoint of God. The bad news is everyone has experienced his presence as the truth behind their experiences, but few have truly understood. So the actual job that you have been given is to explain to individuals and society that while they think they understand the reality of their own experiences, the truth is they don’t. Written on Stone was given to point out what we’ve experienced but not understood. It points back to the Bible in an effort to help us better understand the Bible for the purpose it serves. The Bible is written from God’s perspective through a pure language. It is only when we are able to understand this that we will truly be able to understand the reality of God as truth and our own experiences. The book is given to help us understand that the model of explaining life must change and will in one generation. The reason why every generation blames the one before is because no one generation has truly accepted and recognized the great promise in the Bible, and that is the promise of understanding life as God sees life.
