Wherever the Weak May Fall

Loch the Bastard knows he's put his foot in it almost from the start. A street rat from the dark, a coin he thought was lost, and the death of his army commander whom he hasn't seen in years, all add up to a mystery he is honor-bound to solve. But when Fall, the boy he is supposed to be helping, reveals that he is a sorcerer instead, Loch knows that he has at last traded "foolishness" for treason.

What follows is a tenuous dance between Magic and mystery in a world where the former is forbidden. It is a journey of soul and conscience, of past and regret. And good and evil may have nothing to do with anything after all.
