When asked to find examples of “pure and goodly deeds,” Shadon goes on a quest and meets with four friends; a Sikh, a Christian, a Muslim, and a Bahá’í, each of whom shows her a beautiful way that their community strives to serve humankind. In their search, they learn about their common values of justice, service, and unity.
