Sugar gliders are small, and really cute mammals. Even when they are fully-grown, the sugar glider will only weigh around four ounces, roughly the same as a deck of cards.

Sugar gliders look a lot like flying squirrels; they both have long tails and they have a lot of excess skin at their sides. They use this extra flap of skin to glide from tree to tree, like a paper airplane. But even though they might look like squirrels, sugar gliders come from a different species.
