Baxter the Rescue Dog

Helping children is something just about all of us have an inclination to want to be part of. Every year, more and more children (about 68 percent, according to the National Child Stress Network) experience dramatic and significant events, and they seldom get to tell their story.

In Baxter the Rescue Dog, Warren Lamb and illustrator Mariah Chavez have collaborated to provide an engaging, safe, and comfortable way for children (and adults) to integrate their own difficult experiences as they read and become part of Baxter's story, sharing in his adventure of going from orphaned to rescued, from scared to comforted, from unwanted to wanted, and from being homeless to finding a safe and happy home.
