A contemporary, first-generation immigrant recounts his national Expedition of 2006, where he traveled across the United States and conversed with his fellow Americans on the subject of life and meaning. In the process he grasps at the beginning of a new social-political vision for America and the world, a new populist formula which he dubs a New American Spring.
