The Stockholm Supposition

The Stockholm Supposition is first book in the "Guardian Angel Trilogy" (a prequel to "The Zero Chip," second in the series & previously released). The new book takes place in the near future, shortly after a newly elected U.S. president takes office. He is immediately faced with a major crisis which involves a devious NSA Assistant Director and a hawkish Secretary of Defense who want him to allow them to field a new extremely powerful orbital weapons system, the Guardian Angel Defense Satellite System, which they claim will solve his budget problems as well as assuring the country's military supremacy for years to come. Of course they assure him that he will have oversight of all phases of the program which will take several years to complete. The President has learned that the predecessor programs for GADSS, include an existing U.S. Military project that certain reliable scientific sources have expressed concern will cause a major geophysical event and it is likely that this project will soon trigger the event! Unknown to the President, GADSS has already been fielded and awaits only his public approval of the project for the two conspirators to activate it! In Stockholm, an envoy from the President learns that damage from the HAARP project is not only about to affect the ozone layer but also the geophysics of the Earth's core! The Stockholm Supposition states that there is about to be a sudden shift in the position of the Earth's axis of rotation and that the man made damage to the physics of the core will cause the outer crust, and everything on, it including us, to shift nearly instantly causing massive physical destruction and huge Tsunami waves over the entire face of the Earth!
The race is on to find the origin of this man made catastrophe and stop it, if possible; and if not, to at least determine how we will survive in a very different world! Will it happen, will we survive, and what will the new world be like?
