Now Lee knew what the signal would be. Once he shook hands with Red beard, Lee's right hand, most people's fighting hand, would be in the man's grasp, making Lee an easy kill for the person behind him. Lee smiled and extended his right hand for the handshake. As Crock firmly grabbed Lee's hand, the person behind Lee sprung from cover, just as Back Beard drew back his spear to impale Lee, since Lee was firmly held in place by Crock. But they all got a nasty surprise. As the person behind Lee swung his/her, club down towards Lee's head in which would surely have been a crushing blow, Lee had side stepped to his right. Lee kicked out his left foot at the same time, catching the very large woman, (Lee could now see that it was a woman, at least biologically speaking) in the pit of her very large belly. At the same time, Lee swung Crock right into the path of black beards spear.

Black beards spear entered, a very surprised, Crock's chest and exited out his back, severing his spinal cord, before Black Beard could slow his assault. Lee pulled his blaster free in his left hand and fired his first shot into black beards face. Black Beard's head disintegrated in a brilliant flash of light and his headless body flopped to the ground, spraying blood straight up into the air as if it were a fountain in Com City's central park. Lee turned and fired his second shot into the opened mouth of the fat woman, blowing her head off her shoulders in mid-vomit. Lee then put the pistol away, drew his scim, and headed off to his left just as the fourth member of the ambush came out of the bushes, wet from the knees up.

"Don't kill me!" The man pleaded as he discarded his club and put his hands up.
