Tales of a Nuisance Man

When Capital City opened its gates to any race, everyone flooded in. Suddenly, there were dwarves, orcs, goblins, ogres and a myriad of others all fighting for space to live, work and raise their families. But along with the new cultures and traditions, they brought their own criminals too.

Duke Grandfather, (yes, that's his real name), joins the ranks of the Nuisance Men, licensed to eliminate the bad guys. But he begins noticing that sometimes there isn't much proof that the target has actually done anything wrong, and they are always non-human. Just as his conscious starts gnawing at him, he finds himself on the wrong end of an ogres wrath, and is given an ultimatum. Be the first Nuisance Man to embrace a new way of conducting business, or be dead.

That's just the start of changes in his life, as Duke gains new friends and rivals, and meets the woman destined to become his wife, if he can ever understand anything at all about her job as a necromancer.

It's a lot to take in, especially if all you really want to do is sleep late and drink ale.
