Birds of a Feather

Developmental disabilities is not an issue that is going away. It is an issue that continues to grow. With that being said, a lot more attention needs to be brought to this issuenot only the care, treatments, and behaviors but also the wages, methods, and different techniques. Not everything is as black and white as we wish it to be for this class of people. In the agency that I dedicated a little over three years of my life for, in my opinion, it has managed to suppress the limitless talent these individuals have to offer. They suppressed their staff and put unrealistic expectations on their staff. It is a job some may find satisfying, a job others will not bare to put up with due to the lack of treatment and responsibility.
