The Earl in My Bed

A novel composed in March to June, 1995, about the difference between the "I" and the "self" in a lone case of love between a man and a woman. A pure fantasy, in other words. It would have been the greatest love story in world history if only it had been written in 2010 or later, since when the author lost interest in this sort of thing. Freud was the only one to have understood love correctly, as the sublimation of sexual desire, although the libido-unconscious need not be invoked to use the German equivalent of the word translated as sublimation; it is a pity that all of his other ideas are farragoes.
