American Health Care Act: The Proposed Trumpcare Bill

House Republicans released their long-awaited replacement plan for the Affordable Care Act on March 6th 2017. The American Health Care Act was developed in conjunction with the White House and Senate Republicans. It keeps intact some of the more popular features of the ACA, such as allowing adult children to stay on their parents’ health plans to age 26 and, at least in theory, ensuring that people with preexisting conditions will still have access to insurance.
