The 2017 St. Louis Cardinals' Season: Clipped Wings

The “2017 St. Louis Cardinals’ Season: Clipped Wings” book tells the story of the 2017 Cardinals through a series of hilarious, witty, and heartfelt texts between two first cousins. As they follow their favorite baseball team through the season, they capture the epic ups and numerous downs felt throughout Cardinal Nation. It is a book written by fans for fans. Proceeds made from this book will be donated to Cardinals’ related charitable organizations.

Nancy Newmark and Todd Newmark are first cousins who grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and moved out of the area upon graduating high school; however, they never lost their Cardinal roots. They still live outside of St. Louis in different parts of the country, but are connected through their blood as well as their passion for the St Louis Cardinals. During the 2013 World Series, Nancy and Todd were at their cousins’ wedding and found themselves glued to an iPhone watching the Cards and Red Sox. It was then that a bond was formed. They then proceeded to text throughout the World Series that year as well as the postseason in 2014. It was during the 2015 opening day game when the incessant texting began and hasn’t stopped since.
