The Giving Manger: A Christmas Family Tradition

Nick is engaged in making amends for his dying father's mistakes in 'only obeying orders' as a soldier in colonial Kenya and in Malta. It's 1998, and in Nairobi he chances to meet Jasmin, herself the embodiment of unwanted legacies from two different armies, the Japanese in Malaya and the British in Singapore. They begin a long-distance relationship that is dramatically challenged as secrets from Nick's father's past emerge.
