Jack was never there.
Nobody could see him anyways. Nobody but me. There were times that I thought it was wrong that I could. He would stand in front of me, he would hold my hand, he would eat dinner with me.
I was sick, I thought, but he made me forget it.
He was my friend. He protected me. He guided me. He was clever, sarcastic and obnoxious, yet also cruel.
I needed him though. I do need him. He's always been there for me.
But Jack was never there.
