Critical Security Studies and World Politics

British, North American, Australian, and Irish scholars of international relations and other social sciences offer a more complex picture of security than has been constructed in mainstream security studies since World War II: thus critical security studies. They hope to help students understand that there are different and more complex ways of thinking about security than the dismal ideology of political realism, ways that can actually lead to people living together more easily than in the recent past.
