Women's Studies Quarterly: Women's Studies Then and Now

Since the launching of the first women's studies courses in the early 1970s, more than 600 programs in women's studies have opened in the U.S. and throughout the world. In this special 30th anniversary edition of WSQ, teachers, scholars, activists, and poets examine the historical impact and the new struggles in this dynamic field. Contributors explore intergenerational differences, the effect of new technologies on women's studies curricula, and the challenges of teaching women's studies since September 11, 2001. They speak from community colleges and established undergraduate and doctoral programs in urban, rural, and borderland settings. This special volume offers unique historical perspectives on the growth of the field as well as rich and challenging discussions of its present and future.
