Deaf Children in China

A survey of the attitudes of well-educated Chinese parents with children enrolled in a school for deaf children in Nanjing. The survey relies on two methods: an analysis of letters written by parents to the principle of the school and the responses of 26 parents to standardized interviews conducted by the author.
