About the Authors

The publishing partnership of Leslie Ann Hayashi and Kathleen Wong Bishop blossomed out of a longtime childhood friendship and their collaboration on the 'Fables From' series of books has garnered several Ka Palapala Po'okela Awards for Excellence in Children's Books and Excellence in Illustration.

Hayashi graduated from Stanford University with distinction and received her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. In addition to being an awardwinning author, she has also received numerous awards for her work on the bench. Judge Hayashi resides in Honolulu Hawai'i with her attorney husband and their two sons. Wong Bishop is a graduate of Stanford University and is an award-winning artist who has taught thousands of children the art of illustration. Meditation helps her to focus her energy to create and she seeks to help people young and old, discover their creative and spiritual nature. She resides in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband and three children.
