This book is about the clinical aspects of premature ovarian failure including a review of immunological, metabolic and toxicological elements. A special section considers also the relationship to myasthenia gravis and systemic lupus erythematosis including new physiological data on human chorionic gonadotropin. Additional sections summarize relevant data on embryology, physiology, ovarian cancer, animal immunization models and thymectomy models. Finally, an integrative model of ovarian autoimmune disease is proposed.
