In this story, Buster just got back from playing bugsball in Bugville Park with his friends. He's practicing to be a hive helper so he can help his mom and dad. At Bee Hive, the factory where his mom and dad work, he sees the busy, busy Queen Bee. He spills honey. He buzzes around to collect pollen and nectar.

When he returns home, he gets into trouble at dinner because he doesn't want to eat his pollen. He'd rather eat nectar and he loves honey much too much. After dinner, he takes time out for bugsball practice.

The wonderfully crafted story is paired with energetic illustrations of a colorful cast of crittters and playful scenes. This rollicking adventure is sure to be a favorite with the storytime crowd.

Other Big Little Reader(tm) stories starring Buster Bee that you may enjoy include: Have Trouble at School, Break Their Bad Habits, Stay After School, Have a Bad Day, Have a Surprise Party, Have a Backyard Picnic, and Compete in the Big Spelling Bee.

The Bugville Critters stories originally were written by Robert Stanek as bedtime stories for his own children. His children enjoyed the stories so much they urged him to make the stories available to other children and that's what he set out to do in 2004.
