This book is designed primarily to help higher education instructors identify and clarify the philosophical and definitional issues related to cultural competency, understand and appreciate multiple perspectives and ways of knowing, and provide strategies and recommendations for inclusive teaching and learning practices for faculty who are designing curriculum. Additionally, many chapters include instructional strategies that can be used in the classroom.
