Wise & Foolish Hearts

Life for families living along the border in south Texas and northern Mexico is anything but mundane. The spiritual journey of the characters in this story will test their human limitations. Through unforeseen circumstances, some of them are faced with making tough decisions about the direction of their life.

Ruth keeps busy, working a full-time job at the international bridge while taking classes at the local university. She undergoes a horrible experience when she turns twenty but must keep quiet about it because it places her family at risk. Tensions then arise within the family because of a promise Ruth made to her grandfather that is at odds with their wishes. Through it all, Ruth is slowly learning how to trust God, but would she be able to stand firm in her beliefs throughout the difficult challenges ahead?

Ruth’s cousin Nikki is a foolish young woman who also attends the university. She has always had a rambunctious spirit and a moral compass that is all over the place. Would she ever come to value true relationships?

Wise & Foolish Hearts is a story of hope, love, and triumph for some while hopelessness and selfishness lead to tragedy for others.
