Understanding AS/400 System Operations

Coverage includes learning key day-to-day operations on an AS/400 computer system including IPL, stopping the system, backup and recovery, and system cleanup; creating and maintaining user environments, device configuration and management, job management, security implementation, work and data management, and TCP/IP configuration; working with console operations including jobs, message handling, spool files, and devices; accessing the AS/400 through Operations Navigator and traditional methods; and learning the material for two IBM AS/400 certification exams (Associate and Professional system operators).
