Flexible Working: New Network Technologies

The book presents new ways and new paradigms of flexible working, showing how they are made possible by the advanced network technologies that have emerged from the EU programme of research and trials - ACTS. It reviews the benefits and drivers of flexible working, then looks in detail at advanced applications and the enabling network technologies. It highlights issues that require further research and development in the period 2000-2004, the timeframe of the IST Programme which follows ACTS.
