East-West Co-Operation in Public Sector Reform: Cases and Results in Central and Eastern Europe

Building on the experience of hundreds of projects and programs over more than a decade, this volume is the first comprehensive study of East-West cooperation in public sector reform since the collapse of communism. After developing a framework for comparison, the editors have gathered a series of analytical case studies of cooperative programs in Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. The conclusion examines successes, problems, and lessons to help guide the future of East-West cooperation.
