Effects of Air Polution on Forest Health and Biodiversity in Forests of the Carpa: Bioadversity in Forests on the Carpathian Mountains

Szaro (International Union of Forest Research Organizations, Special Program for Developing Countries, Austria) presents papers from a May 2002 NATO Advanced Research Workshop held in Stara Lesna, Slovakia, comparing the results of studies of the effects of air pollution on ecosystems in the Carpathian Mountains with similar studies in other parts of Europe, and summarizing the latest knowledge on ozone distribution and its potential for biological effects in forests. Papers are collected in sections on the role of cooperative research, forest health and the Carpathian region, and air pollution status and effects in the Carpathians. There is no subject index.
