Peacebuilding in Postconflict Societies: Strategy and Process

Jeong reflects upon the lessons that may be learned from both successful and unsuccessful peacebuilding operations around the world. Moving beyond strictly political and strategic considerations, he links short-term crisis-intervention efforts to a sustained process that encompasses the entire complex environment of a conflict. Particular attention is paid to the concerns of populations that have been victimized by violence. Jeong teaches at the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University.
