Destruction of Jerusalem and the Idea of Redemption in the Syriac Apocalypse of Baruch

This book argues that II Baruch must be understood in a Christian context, a theological identity reflected in traditions which describe the destruction of Jerusalem and the three apocalyptic visions of the coming of the Messiah and the eschatological redemption.
