Ironically, living longer exposes growing numbers of people to more than one serious illness or chronic medical condition. Bob Guns has had to deal with a stroke (brain surgery), prostate cancer (42 radiation treatments), arthritic back (spinal surgery), and severely diminished hearing. These experiences have made him sensitive to others confronting multiple health threats. His book, Slammed Again! is divided into two parts, The Heavier Stuff (Survival Lessons) and The Lighter Stuff (Offbeat Survivor Tales). Survivors need to address both kinds of 'Stuff' in order to bring a healthy balance to their lives.
