The Spirit Of Outreach: 20 Inspiring Stories from YEScarolina and the Mark Elliot Motley Foundation

In celebration of Mark Motley’s legacy, Jimmy Bailey, Executive Director of YESCarolina, has compiled herein twenty true stories of children who have defied the odds to  become the business leaders of the future. Under the instruction of YESCarolina educated teachers, these public school kids learned how to transform their street smarts into business  smarts. YESCarolina is a statewide nonprofit initiative designed to help young people from grades 6-12 build practical business skills and unlock their entrepreneurial creativity. The underlying goal of the organization is to create economic equality for children of all socio-economic backgrounds while simultaneously empowering youth to harness their  unique gifts to follow their dreams. These stories are a powerful indication that they are well on their way to fulfilling the mission.
