"I was born in California and have lived in Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. Always having a sincere affection and attraction for the outdoors and wildlife I have enjoyed many "once in a life time" type adventures involving these topics.

I would say that I have a good since of humor and have never been afraid to try something new. This story is based on my daily journal while care taking at a remote hunting lodge in solitude, on the Alaskan Peninsula. My husband, dog and I were there for a total of 14 months. It was an amazing experience even though at times it was scary, sad and complicated. I feel my story openly reflects the joy and the hardships that one is challenged with in this type of life.
