This book contains the proceedings of the first GeoChange research symposium. The GeoChange research symposium is the second cooperative workshop organized by the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) and the institute for Geoinformatics (ifgi) of the University of Münster, and has been held on 27 November 2010 at Campos do Jordão (São Paul), Brazil. From the extended abstracts submitted, 11 were selected for publication in these proceedings.
