Debra L. Welkley has taught sociology courses for over 19 years in four-year colleges and universities as well as community colleges. She also has more than 20 years of experience working in various social services venues. Her goal in the classroom is to engage the student in the process of learning. During the past decade she has taught critical thinking by incorporating the sociological perspective and using social issues as discussion points for students to practice their critical thinking skills.
