About the Author: Susan Connell Vondrak is a 24-year veteran of the Illinois State Police, in the forensic department. She started her career as a forensic toxicologist, and currently is the Director of Research and Development and the Statewide Training Program. Vondrak began writing police procedural novels to entertain her family, but with the public's current interest in forensics, she began to take the writing more seriously. NO EVIDENCE OF A CRIME was her first novel, and The Evidence is Clear is the second in a series of three novels.

Vondrak lives with her family in central Illinois.
