The wise-cracking, one-eyed mere captain was just planning a little vacation with his lady, Bess, while she worked up a story on devil cultists and mutilation murders. Then he runs into the enigmatic assassin who iced his old C.O. back in 'Nam, and finds a tie-in between the disappearances of top-ranking U.S. scientists and a hellfire-and-brimstone TV evangelist.

It was supposed to be a simple vacation, but before it is over, the merc is fighting for his life and country as a bizarre Soviet plot explodes in the middle of Georgia.
